Basic Referee (Regional) for U10 and older, attend either Aug 4-5 or 12-13.
August 4-5 - 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm, Aiea Middle School
August 12-13 - , 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm, Aiea Middle School
August 14 - Field session at Ala Puumalu middle field, 8:30 am - 11:30 am

If you are volunteering to be an Assistant Referee, then attend the August 5th or August 13th session.

U8 Referee

U10 teams - For the August 14 field session, we are looking for 2 boys teams to scrimmage at 9:00 and 2 girls teams to scrimmage at 10:30. Contact your AGC if you are interested in being 1 of the teams.

Special Pool of Region Referees
This is aimed at referees interested in gaining experience in the U10 and older divisions however it is open to any interested volunteer.   If you would like to improve your referee skills, we would like to offer you more opportunities to referee an AYSO game.  While improving your skills, you will also be helping the Aiea Region to attain its goal of improving the quality of our region referee teams.  Contact your Age Group Coordinator through your team's coach or contact one of our referee administrators, or contact our Regional Commissioner.  

Certification Courses
Safe Haven -   This course is required for all volunteers in AYSO, especially our center referees. This class covers child and volunteer protection. Volunteers will come out of this class with an understanding of the referee’s role in developing the complete child.   
 
Referee Courses
AYSO has courses for a variety of levels, U6/U8, Region (U10/U12), Area (U12/U14),  Section (U16/U19), and National.  U6/U8 and Region Referee Courses are hosted by the Aiea Region and scheduled to take place in July/August.   

There are also courses for the Intermediate (Area), Advanced (Section), and National levels. Courses for Intermediate/Advanced will be announced in the Spring.   The National Course is held on the mainland and will take place in May-June. These courses are usually hosted by Area/Section/National.

U8/U10 Referee Support Tent - look for the tent located between fields.   Go there for pre-game tips and to ask questions.  

Mentoring - If you would like to observe one of your games, please contact Dean Masuno, Carl Frazier, or Clyde Asato.
